The Malmesbury Concert Band (MCB) is back in action with a busy schedule for summer 2024, and its most varied musical programme ever.
The following programme has been announced, so far:
- Sunday, 19th May – Stratford Park, Stroud – 1-3pm
- Sunday, 2nd June – Town Gardens, Swindon – 3-4.30pm
- Thursday, 6th June – Cuckingstool Mead, Malmesbury – D Day 80th anniversary – 8.15pm
- Saturday, 15th June – Great Somerford Fete – 4-6pm
- Sunday, 7th July – John Coles Park, Chippenham – 3-5pm
- Sunday, 21st July – Abbe Grounds, Cirencester – 2.30 – 4.30pm
A further band programme for the autumn will be announced later in the year.
The summer programme includes numbers from the Beatles, musicals, films, jazz and established favourites such as Moon River and Nine to Five, made famous by Dolly Parton.
