Chippenham BID is delighted to announce the launch of a town centre worker discount card for Chippenham, which is available to everyone who works within the Chippenham BID area.
Chippenham BID Manager, Kathryn Crosweller said, “A thriving town centre is often supported by local workers who can pop out during lunch or on their way to and from work to do some shopping, helping to support other town centre businesses. For example, Chippenham has a high number of office staff, and we hope that giving them an incentive to shop in the town centre will see footfall increase for other town centre businesses.”
There are several businesses offering a discount to town centre workers, from those you might visit daily such as Boswells in Emery Gate Shopping Centre who give 10% on takeaways to specialist businesses including estate agents Atwell Martin, who can offer reduced fees and financial advice to town centre workers.
Several other businesses have already confirmed they are happy to offer a discount to town centre workers across a range of industries including retailers Julian Charles, David Christopher and Ecigwizard, and other businesses including Dental Health for Life, Elkins Architects and Snap Fitness.
Runel Tromp, Practice Manager of Dental Health for Life said, “Your overall health start with your oral health! Our free consultation for town centre workers will give you some time to ask your questions and enable you to make informed decisions about how to go forward.”
A list of participating businesses who are offering discounts and incentives will be found on www.chippenhamconnected.com from the end of June. Kathryn Crosweller said, “This isn’t intended to be a prescriptive promotion or an onerous project for businesses to maintain. The offers will change for some businesses depending on the season and what other promotions they are running, so we’re encouraging those with the cards to ask at the till or at the time of booking if a discount is offered, in the same way as NUS and Blue Light Cards are used.”
The town centre worker discount card is available through the Chippenham BID team to owners, managers and directors of companies in the Chippenham BID area.
